"Ernest" is titled after my grandfather, a WW2 veteran and deacon of profound faith said embody the "love thy neighbor" ethos. We never met but the stories of his endeavors were present throughout my life, turning him into an almost folkloric entity. As time passes skepticism of his convictions turns to yearning - and wishing for that confidence in the cosmos, until it cycles back again.
